Biz Plan is a Business plan contest for novel ideas to take shape into a working model. If you are a visionary and have formulated a venture then furnish a Business plan by providing a complete description of the venture, industry analysis, marketing plan, facilities plan, organizational plan and a financial plan including capital investment and cash flow statements.

• Round 1: Submission of abstract about the business idea
• Round 2: Submission of a detailed report
• Round 3: The grand finale - Presentation at Kriya

The first round is the submission of the business idea. For this round, teams would have to submit a brief abstract of their business idea. The business idea should be built upon the following points.

• Business idea

• Feasibility study

• Innovation

• Financial plan

• Product life cycle / Growth and development (whichever is applicable)

Teams will be short listed by a panel of judges based on the above criteria in addition to creativity and ingenuity. Teams should submit a brief abstract of their business idea on or before the 16th of January 2009 through mail to bizplan@psgkriya.org . The abstract should also contain the following;

• Name of participants

• Common email ID

• Contact numbers

Only those teams which are short listed are eligible to participate in the next round. Short listed teams will be intimated on or before the 18th of January 2009 through mail and phone.

For the second round selected teams will have to submit a detailed report of their business idea on or before the 23rd of January 2009. The report should contain all the relevant information with regard to the business idea. The report should be carefully planned, edited and chalked out to make it look impressive. The report should be built on the following points;

• Business idea

• Innovation

• Break-even analysis

• Technical Feasibility

• Economic Feasibility

• Organization Structure

• Administrative strategy

• Marketing Strategy

• Financial Strategy

• Administrative Strategy

• SWOT Analysis

• Competitive Advantage

• Growth and sustenance

• Utilization of resources

The teams will have to send their reports through mail to bizplan@psgkriya.org This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The teams will again be short listed to appear in the final round by a panel of judges who will judge the teams based on the above mentioned criteria. The selected teams will be intimated before the 26th of January 2009.

The final round consists of  the presentation of the business plan to an eminent panel of judges representing all quarters of the corporate business world. The teams will be judged on various criteria such as innovation, return on investments, execution of strategies, etc, to name a few. The time limit for the presentation is ten minutes followed by a question and answer session with the judges. The presentation can be in the form of a power point or a flash presentation.

Teams are required to bring two hard copies of their report for the final event. The break up marks allotted for the two parts vests in the organizers and the judges.
