- Introduction

Digital Media, aims at providing a opportunity to the students to challenge and to showcase their creativity to the world through the medium of reel. The objective of this event is to act as a platform for young film makers and animation enthusiasts nationwide in this competition. The popularity of homemade videos created by editing pictures, text, music, voice, and video exploded with the easy process for posting them on websites for worldwide access. Organizations around the world have realized the marketing power of these sites for promoting their unique messages. Our Digital Media competition challenges students, to use their creativity to create a video using multiple types of media; photos, music, video, voice, etc in order to address the Kriya theme and to spread that message by communicating, explaining, and touching the global society by using the viral power the Internet and motion pictures. A short film has the difficulty of conveying a message in a brief period of time while also being visually stimulating. Your job, is to make this difficult task appear as if it were a cake walk.
- Rules

1. Entries must not exceed the limit of 12 minutes.
2. The movie can be in either English and/or Tamil and/or Hindi. Subtitles should be included, to avoid any form of errors in interpretation.
3. We will not accept any defamatory, obscene, blasphemous or unlawful material.
4. A team may consist of 2-6 members, and the movie should be appropriately credited.
5. An individual is permitted to be a part of one or more entries.
6. Each entry should be accompanied by the following:
-A synopsis of the film (max of 150 words)
-The filmmaker's profile.
-Authentication letter.
7. You can upload your movie at file hosting servers like http://www.quickupload.net/, http://www.2shared.com/, or any of your choice and send us the links at digitalmedia@psgkriya.org along with the contents of point 8(mentioned above).
8. All entries must reach us by 29-01-2010.
9. The participants whose films get short-listed for the final round will be informed by 31-01-2010.
10.The selected teams will be asked to make a movie for the final round during the event.
11. The decision of the jury members will be final and binding.
